SUTA is state unemployment tax (Florida RT-6). FUTA is federal. Here’s the difference without the textbook.

People mix these up constantly. Fair.
SUTA = state unemployment tax. In Florida, the quarterly report you hear about is the RT-6. When someone says “file my SUTA,” they usually mean that.
FUTA = federal unemployment tax. That’s a different animal (IRS side). We don’t handle FUTA filings. Just saying it so your not confused when both acronyms show up in the same Google rabbit hole.
For Florida employers, the thing that sneaks up on you is usually SUTA / RT-6. Quarterly. Easy to forget. Penalties if your late.
